Chris, Caroline, Patrick en Erna

Dit weekend zijn we naar Maleisie gegaan. zinds kort wonen Chris en Caroline net over de grens in JB en zijn Patrick en Erna van Hong Kong naar KL verhuisd.

Het plan was om op zaterdagmiddag met zijn alle bij Chris en Caro te zijn. lekker te gaan zwemmen en een hapje eten. Maar zoals altijd gaan onze plannen niet zoals ze gepland zijn. Patrick en Erna moesten eerst nog even "inpakken" omdat ze naar een ander serviced appartment in KL verhuizen en dus kwamen ze pas om 22.15 in JB aan.

Ondertussen waren de twee andere gezinnen al naar de Koreaan geweest voor een lekkere BBQ met een seafood soep. Een beetje veel maar erg lekker.

En omdat Youri 's zondags moet rugbyen konden we niet echt blijven hangen, en dus kwam het hele zooitje op zondag naar Sing om lekker op de club bij het zwembad te hangen, te kletsen en plannen te maken voor de kerst op Langkawi.

Het lijkt erop dat het toch gaat gebeuren al hoe wel we nog niet weten of Erwin en Anneke (Nederland) en Shabih en Esa (Dubai) mee gaan.

Het was weer een ouderwets rommelig weekend, wel leuk.

 

 

 

This weekend was very well planned. We would go to JB on Saturday to spend the day with Chris and Caroline who recently moved to JB and meet up Patrick and Erna who finally arrived in KL from Hong Kong.

 

Sandra visited Chris and Caroline last week to look at their new house but I couldn't make it as my passport was at the Chinese embassy and with Patrick and Erna coming it looked like the perfect opportunity to see their new house, to catch up and to discuss the Christmas holiday plans in Langkawi. Are we going or not??

 

But as usual all plans fail when the Moes and Henzens are involved. Patrick and Erna did not arrive till 22.15 in JB as they had to pack for a move to a new appratment. By then the other two families went out for dinner at the local Korean BBQ (excellent choice) for some BBQ and a seafood soup enough to feed another family, if they would have been there.

 

 

 

We had to leave shortly after the Henzens as Youri had to play rugby on sunday morning. On sunday the whole bunch came to Singapore to see our new house and hang out at the club to catch up and  finally discuss Langkawi.

 

It looks like we are going even though we might end up with only three families. We also decided to do newyears eve in KL (hey why not)..

 

All in all some old fashined improvisation and good fun.

October fest 2012

Gister was het weer tijd voor OCTOBERFEST op de Swissclub. Eigenlijk mag ik natuurlijk niet zeggen dat ik dit leuk vind maar ik heb me best vermaakt. Ook Sas liep flink mee te zingen en te dansen.

Samen met 4000 andere mensen een avondje bier drinken op hoempa muziek, dansen op tafel en Schweine haxe en worst eten.

Eigenlijk best wel leuk en dit jaar had ik de volgende morgen geen problemen om op testaan. Komt waarschijnlijk omdat Johnny er dit jaar niet bij was.

Yesterday we went to the OCTOBERFEST 2012 at the Swissclub. As a Dutchie I should say I don't like the "German thing" but I have to admit I rather enjoyed myself and also Sandra seemed to have a fun night.

And to be honest what is there not to enjoy. Together with 4000 other people drinking beer, dancing (preferably on top of the tables) to Humpa music and eating Pork nuckle and Sausage.

It is entertaining and this year I didn't make a complete fool of myself and had not that much trouble getting up in the morning. Could it be that Johnny not being here had something to do with it?
