Overstroming / Flood

Het kon ook eigenlijk niet anders. Afgelopen zondag was het weer eens flink raak. Overstromingen. Het regende een paar uur achter elkaar en dan kan je er eigenlijk op wachten. Nou had ik vorig jaar besloten dat als het weer gebeurde ik naar buiten zou gaan om wat fotoos te maken, maar ik voelde me niet zo goed afgelopen zondag dus ik ben maar wat fotoos gaan stelen op het net. In de colages zie je fotoos van de afslag naar Swiss Club Road, de weg die Youri elke dag neemt naar school. Ook zie je de overstroming op Bukit Timah Road. En de foto van de Lamborgini en Ferrari, ach dat is gewoon leedvermaak.

Flash Floods, it seems to become part of Singapore. Less then a year ago the Singapore Government decided that Orchard Road needed to be raised as a lot of the expensive stores were flooded by the previous flash flood and last Sunday it happened again. Not oon Orchard Road but now it was our area. Not our street as we are on a hill, something I notice every time I go running. A couple of hours of heavy heavy rain and the drains could not take it any more. Last time I told myself I should have gone out to take some pictures and again this time I didn't do it. So I had to borrow some of other people excellent work. In the collage you see Bukit Timah Road which is very close to our house and the 7-eleven is within walking distance of  our house and almost next to our favorite hamburger place. And the Ferrari and Lamborgini were not parked in our garage but it is just good fun.

4 jaar is geen kattedrek / 4 years is no chicken s**t.

Na 4 jaar moesten we vorig weekeind dan afscheid nemen van de Klijntjes. Ze gaan terug naar EINDHOVEN. 4 jaar lang waren ze onze maatjes. Eerst in HK en de laatste 2 jaar in Sing. Ze gaan weg maar ze worden niet vergeten. Het is eigenlijk alleen maar handig datwe nu een extra adresje in Holland hebben. We zullen ze missen want 4 jaar is geen Kattedrek.

After 4 years of living "together" we had to say goodbye to "de Klijntjes" they are going back to good old Holland, back to their old house in Eindhoven. We will miss them but we will never foget them, We drank to much beer, watched to many Holland games and did a to many other stupid things together to forget them, but we will miss them as 4 years is no Chicken s**t.
