Nieuw Zeeland is wel erg mooi hoor. De eerste week van onze vakantie zit er op en we hebben nog drie dagen te gaan op het zuidereiland. En ik moet zeggen, dit land is eigenlijk wel het mooiste dat ik heb gezien tot nu toe. Australie is mooi en Azie is fantastisch maar Nieuw Zeeland is super, wat een land. Fantastische natuur, prachtige uitzichten, en alles vrij dicht op elkaar.

We hebben al fjorden gezien, glow worms, zeeleeuwen, dolfijnen en pinguins. De kids hebben ge-bungy jumped (Youri en Jelle) en Lotte geparasailed. We zijn met een helicopter naar een gletsjer gevlogen en de jongens hebben San verschrikkelijk ingepeperd met sneeuwballen. En we hebben nog twee weken te gaan.

Als we wat meer tijd hebben zal ik wat meer fotoos etc. op de site zetten.

New Zealand is the choice for our 2011 summer holiday. "It is winter in New Zealand and we don't have any jackets to bring", was my first response when Sas suggested it, but I must say it is an excellent choice. Of all the counties we have visited this is probably the most beautiful. And we visited quite a few countries. Holland is nice, Italy OK, Australia really good and Asia, well it is just amazing but NEW ZEALAND tops it all I think.

We have just finished our first week here and we have seen some spectacular views and natural beauty that we haven't seen elsewhere. And the good thing it is all within easy driving range. We have seen nice fjords, took a helicopter flight to a glacier, saw waterfalls, dolphins, seals and penguins. We drove over mountain passes, through rain forest, roads were closed because of excessive snow.

The boys did a bungy jump and Lotte jumped off a mountain under a parasail in Queenstown. And we haven't even seen any hot springs, volcano's etc. yet. Two more weeks to go.
